Art & Culture in the Hall

Come and experience a vibrant community story told through maps, photographs, and artifacts at Oshawa City Hall until August 7 inclusive. The Art and Culture in the Hall exhibit invites you to explore the rich past, passionate advocacy, and support for Oshawa Second Marsh.

The exhibit unfolds in three chapters:

Settler History of the Marsh – tracing the early changes that set the stage for the Marsh’s decline.

Save and Restore the Marsh – celebrating the community’s determination to protect this ecological significant ecosystem and establish the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve.

Love the Marsh! – highlighting today’s appreciation, stewardship, and the deep connection so many people feel for this remarkable natural space.

Created in consultation with the Oshawa Museum and HOPA Ports, this exhibit is a heartfelt tribute to the people and stories that shaped the Marsh, and a reminder of why it continues to matter to this day.

You will find the display on the second floor of Oshawa City Hall, just inside the south entrance, along the hallway leading to the Council Chambers.
