Guided Nature Walks

Nature walks and wildlife viewing days, with an interpretive component, have always been a focus of FSM programs. They provide opportunities for people to experience and strengthen their passion for nature.

Guided nature walks are available upon request throughout the year for groups. The walks guarantee participants fresh air, exercise, and an introduction to the Second Marsh and the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve trails. During the walks a variety of topics are discussed and may include the marsh and its features, plants of the marsh, trees, birds, amphibians, reptiles, invasive species, as well as the history of the area.
