Informing and educating as many people as possible about the value of wetlands and why it is important to protect these sensitive areas is the key to preserving areas like Second Marsh over the long-term. Education represents an important response to solving the on-going environmental crisis.
Active education and learning programs for schools, youth groups, community groups and the general public are offered by Friends on a “fee-for-service” basis and depending on staff availability. The following education programs are currently offered:
