Take the 407A bus from the Oshawa Centre Terminal on Gibb Street West in Oshawa. This bus goes to Colonel Sam Drive which runs right past the Second Marsh.
Alternatively, take the 407A bus from the Harmony Terminal at Harmony Road and Taunton Road East. This bus also goes to Colonel Sam Drive.
Get off the 407A bus in front of the General Motors Headquarters. Walk east to Townline Road South and follow it south to the signed east entrance of the Second Marsh Trail.
From outside Oshawa
If you are on the DRT Pulse 900 Bus coming from east or west, get off in downtown Oshawa at Centre Street.
Coming from the west, get off in front of the Michael Starr Building, 33 King Street West and walk across, via the lights, to the bus stop on the northwest corner of Centre Street North at King Street West.
Coming from the east, get off at the northeast corner of Centre Street North at King Street East. This is directly opposite the Oshawa Bus Terminal. Walk across, via the lights, to the west side of Centre Street North. Proceed south, one block to the bus stop.
Catch the Pulse 901 Bus and take it south on Centre Street. Centre Street becomes Simcoe Street just before Olive Street. When the 901 reaches Bloor Street, get off there and take the eastbound 407A bus to the General Motors Headquarters on Colonel Sam Drive.
Get off the 407A bus in front of the General Motors Headquarters. Walk east to Townline Road South and follow it south to the signed east entrance of the Second Marsh Trail.
By Car
From downtown Oshawa
Take Centre Street South. The street becomes Simcoe Street South. Follow Simcoe Street South to the stoplight at Wentworth Street. Turn left and continue to Farewell Street. When you go through the stoplight at Farewell Street the road becomes Colonel Sam Drive.
Approximately 800 metres along you will pass Al Wright Auto Repair on your left. Very shortly after that you will notice a display board slightly set back on the right-hand side of the road. This is the entrance to the Second Marsh. There is parking on Colonel Sam Drive.
From outside Oshawa via Highway 407
Exit Highway 407 at the Simcoe Street exit. Stay on Simcoe Street to downtown Oshawa and then follow the directions outlined above.
From outside Oshawa via Highway 401
From the west
Exit Highway 401 at Harmony Road in Oshawa. Continue straight through the stoplight onto Farewell Street. At the next stoplight, turn left onto Colonel Sam Drive. Continue as noted above.
From the east
Exit Highway 401 at Harmony Road in Oshawa. Turn left at the first stoplight onto Bloor Street East. You will go over Highway 401. At the next stoplight, turn left onto Farewell Street. At the first stoplight on Farewell Street, turn left onto Colonel Sam Drive. Continue as noted above.
